Day 72 - Lake Placid - Lap of Luxury

Well…before we begin to tackle Lake Placid, I’ve got to share some excitement from yesterday at Rocky Hill Farm. Yours truly got the privilege of mowing the back-forty. Well, maybe not 40 acres, but 40 yards x 40 yards for sure. I’m telling you, if you’ve never spent any time on one of those sexy mowers that just have opposing handlebars and can spin on a dime, you’ve never lived. It was seriously intimidating; it was perhaps the most uncoordinated I’ve felt in the last three decades. If you’ve spent any time at all on a motorcycle, whew!; everything works in reverse. All that said, Nicol was a real sport to let me have a run at his place and it was a complete blast. Thanks, Nic!!

After such special times at such special places as Fink Farm and Rocky Hill Farm, we were prepared for things to sorta “get back to normal.” Well…there’s nothing “normal” about this Lake Placid beauty. We’re trying to figure out why our neighbor lives next to us in Carrollton instead of up here. Here’s a tour…check this place out:
