Day 43: Be it ever so humble...

...there's no place like home. Are you kidding me? I don't know how you can hit the jackpot "twice" on one trip. But, here we are at our new digs for the next month. We arrived today and I couldn't wait to snap some images of this gorgeous place.
View from back of the property. That's our exact location - right there - no kidding!

And yes...it really is a barn. It has an interesting history shared by our hostess, Pamela. This is the back entrance...the one you use everytime you enter. Pretty cool, huh?

Yes...it's really a barn!

Jut think...two days after arriving at Fink Farm our reservations in Wells, Maine were cancelled. The owners emailed and apologized saying it had been sold. Following that was the infamous "water leak" back home and a 2K detour; we were ready to call it off. Then, miraculously, out of the blue, Pam responds with this beauty in Saco, ME. How 'bout that?

Here's the interior...

And outside is our parking spot complete with seasonal flora...

Our only mission today was getting groceries. Ah...now we're settled in! Hey!...a fella's gotta eat, right?!

After we eat, we'll probably sit our here for a spell. Ho-hum...

The deck upon which we relax and enjoy whatever.

So far - Maine rocks!!

Stay tuned...

In Portuguese we have a saying that says "há males que vêm por bem" which roughly translated means "there are bad things that come but they turn out to be good things"
