Could the weather be anymore different?
And... there can be that much difference from just morning to afternoon; and there frequently is! Since I'm a creature that thrives on change and diversity - I Love it!! Now...Lizzy...she prefers things be a bit more predictable and preferably more temperate. But, hey...she loves it too!
Monday, we sat indoors and watched the rain all day long. The temps were chilly as well. Yesterday, was a totally different deck of cards and we took advantage as we headed for New Hampshire's White Mountains - gorgeous! Unfortunately, I didn't stop and take a lot of pics - my bad, Here's a couple:
Now, today...the shutter was clicking'. We drove south through Ogunquit, Kennebunk, York, and Portsmouth. We toured the Strawbery Banke Historic Museum - a little history and culture never hurt any odyssey. In York, we were seaside and visited our second Lighthouse, Nubble.

Now if the lighthouse itself is not enough beauty and grandeur, there are houses surrounding it with breath-taking views. We didn't check, but I'm sure they're fairly inexpensive in case anyone wants to come up and snag a couple.
Hurry - they're going fast!
When you're away, it's easy to feel outa touch. This is especially true when you're riding along in Maine, for heaven's sake, and discover that one of you bestest buds has opened a restaurant and didn't even tell you. Shame on you Wild Willie Reid!!
Just before heading back to the Rocky Hill Farm abode, we stopped at one of Maine's maine restaurants, The Maine Diner. OMG! The Lobster Pie has been featured on/in almost every network and news publication. And guess what, that still can't describe this delicious, delectable, dish. You just gotta taste this one for yourself. The environs aren't too bad either...
Maine Diner exterior - Can you tell it's Spring in Maine??
Gotta run; there's still more fun in the sun! Tomorrow we head for the one and only Bah-habba - OMG!!
Keep those cards and letters coming...thanks to all your that say hello from time to time; much appreciated.
And Willie was hiring ...
ReplyDeleteHowever looking at you trip so far I can understand you did not want to stay put in one place too long.
