We learned that Portland's first two major industries were wood/lumber and shoes. Now it's tourism; so where are you? Come on up!
Also, Maine harvests about 1.3 million pounds of Lobsta per year. But don't get your hopes up on getting a lobsta fishing license; the wait is currently over 20 years. And fishing protocol is very strict and mostly locally imposed.
