Day 45 - When in Maine...

...do what you gotta do, right?

You gotta pay your dues, am I right?

It was a gorgeous 50+ deg morning here in Saco (pronounced Sock-o; unless you're from Bah-Habba, then it's Sauw-ko). So, we decided to do a walk around town in the morning. Of course we began exactly as every self-respecting couple should begin...here:

...you get the picture, dontcha?

How can you possibly exercise without much needed nourishment?

Properly fueled and ready, we followed an historical, self-guided walking tour around Saco. I'm sure the winters must be tough here, but watching spring burst forth is our Maine objective right now. Some sights along Main Street here in town:

Nice digs!

Donated by a family that has been here for generations.

Reminded us of McDonalds...sorta?

Beautiful day for a stroll

As the clouds settled in, we jumped in the car and made a run to Orchard Beach just down the road a piece.

Hey...life's a beach!

Orchard Beach looking north...

...and looking south

That's all for now. Gotta get back to the farm, sit on the deck and watch the Weeping Cherry tree blossom. I'm worn out...

Don't forget to click on pics you like.

  2. Turns out it was a really favorable move. There’s lots of inclement weather up here during this season. It’s nice not having to constantly climb in and out of cold and wet weather gear like we would on the bike. Of course, there are special tomes and places we’d love to have the bike, but no complaints. The Miata is about as close as you can get to two wheels.
